Built for Indian expedition driving

When the road ends. When the streetlights stop.

The Rudra Beam isn't for the daily commute. It's for the conditions your factory headlight wasn't designed for — Himalayan passes at -20°C, Rajasthan dust storms at noon, monsoon ghats with zero visibility, off-road tracks past where the road maintenance ends. One product built for what Indian adventure driving actually demands.

Himalayan Touring

Leh-Manali, Spiti, Zanskar valley. The -45°C working temperature isn't a marketing number — high-altitude October-March overnight lows regularly hit -20°C. Most LED aux lights specify 0°C minimum and fail in cold start.

Monsoon Ghats

Lonavala, Coorg, Wayanad, Mahabaleshwar. Heavy rain plus fog plus narrow lanes. The 3000K yellow center beam cuts through monsoon haze where cooler white light just bounces back into your eyes.

Rajasthan / Kutch Dust

Sand storms, harmattan winds, dust-haze afternoons. IP67 sealing keeps the lights running through what would clog a cheap LED in hours. The aviation-grade aluminium body conducts heat away even in 45°C+ daytime.

Off-Road & Trails

Thar, Wrangler, Jimny, Bolero, Endeavour, Fortuner. Off-trail driving where the only light is the one you bring. Wide-spread beam pattern illuminates lateral obstacles, not just straight ahead.

Adventure Motorcycling

Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM Adventure, BMW GS, Triumph Tiger. Handlebar or crash-bar mounted, the Rudra Beam transforms night-touring on a single-headlight bike. Two beams of supplementary light covering wide arcs ahead.

Convoy & Group Rides

Two flicker patterns built in — slow strobe for being-seen visibility in fog, faster alternating pattern as a hazard alert. Useful for expedition convoys, group rides, and the moment something happens at the back of the line.

How we built it

Engineering that handles the worst of Indian conditions.

Dual-color beam (yellow center + white sides)

On high beam, the Rudra Beam's center LED array fires 3000K yellow light while the perimeter floods 6500K crisp white. This isn't a styling choice — it's purpose-engineered optics. Yellow light penetrates fog, dust, and rain significantly better than cool-white because its longer wavelength scatters less off airborne particles. White light gives you wide-angle situational awareness — seeing the edges of the road, the shoulder, the unexpected obstacle ten meters off-axis. The combination gives you what a single-temperature aux light can't: penetration AND awareness, simultaneously. The switchable 3000K-only or 6500K-only modes adapt to specific conditions: pure yellow for heavy monsoon, pure white for off-road trail driving on clear nights.

-45°C to +80°C working temperature

The Rudra Beam is rated for operation from -45°C to +80°C. Most LED auxiliary lights on the Indian market specify 0°C to +60°C. The difference matters in real-world Indian conditions: Leh-Manali in October sees overnight lows of -25°C, Khardung La can drop below -30°C, and Rajasthan summer surface-mounted equipment regularly hits 65-75°C in midday sun. The wider operating envelope comes from automotive-grade LED chips selected for thermal stability, an aviation-grade aluminium body that conducts heat across the full range, and a sealed driver design that doesn't condense moisture during cold starts.

Aviation-grade aluminium body + IP67 sealing

Mounted externally on a bumper, grille, handlebar or roof rack, the Rudra Beam takes direct rain, mud splash, salt spray (coastal driving), and stone impacts that a factory headlight housing protects against. The aviation-grade aluminium body provides corrosion resistance plus structural strength. IP67 sealing means the housing withstands temporary submersion (up to 1 metre for 30 minutes) and dust ingress is completely prevented — useful for river crossings on off-road trips and dust-laden conditions year-round.

DC 9-30V wide voltage range

The 9-30V regulator handles every common automotive electrical system: standard 12V car/bike circuits, 24V heavy vehicle / truck systems, and the brief voltage spikes that occur during alternator-charging or jump-starts. This matters when wiring the Rudra Beam through an aftermarket relay — voltage fluctuations that would burn out a narrower-range LED driver simply don't affect the Rudra Beam's wide-range circuit.

Universal mounting — car + bike + roof rack

The included mounting brackets fit standard car bumper / grille bolt patterns, motorcycle handlebar / crash bar clamps, and roof rack accessory bars. One product, one purchase, fits whatever vehicle is in front of you — a Mahindra Thar today, a KTM 390 Adventure next month, a Toyota Fortuner roof rack the month after. Compact dimensions (114.68 × 74.7 × 33 mm) mean they don't dominate the front of small bikes or look out of place on a roof rack.

Frequently asked

Questions drivers and riders ask.

Does the Rudra Beam 180 fit cars and bikes both?

Yes. The Rudra Beam 180 is the only product in the CarXNeo line designed for both 4-wheelers and 2-wheelers. The mounting brackets included in the box adapt to standard car bumper/grille mounts, motorcycle handlebar/crash bar mounts, and roof rack accessory bars. Validated on Mahindra Thar, Maruti Jimny, Toyota Fortuner, Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM Adventure, and most adventure-touring setups.

Why dual color beam (yellow center + white sides)?

On high beam, the center spot fires 3000K yellow light (which cuts through fog and dust significantly better than cool white) while the perimeter floods 6500K crisp white (which gives you wide situational awareness). The combination is purpose-engineered for the conditions overlanders, off-roaders, and Himalayan touring riders deal with — fog in the ghats, dust in Rajasthan, snow at altitude, monsoon visibility loss.

What's the working temperature range and why does it matter?

-45°C to +80°C. The lower bound matters for Indian high-altitude touring — Leh-Manali highway in early/late season, Khardung La pass, Zanskar valley regularly see overnight lows below -20°C. The upper bound matters for Indian summer + dust storms in Rajasthan or Gujarat. Most LED aux lights specify 0°C to +60°C and fail in extreme conditions.

What's included in the box?

Set of 2 Rudra Beam lights, 2 universal mounting brackets (car/bike/roof rack), wiring harness with switchable color temp control and flicker modes, user manual, warranty card. Wiring kit supports DC 9-30V — works directly on most cars and bikes without converters.

Does it interfere with my factory headlight or RTO regulations?

The Rudra Beam is an auxiliary light — meant to supplement your factory headlights for off-road, expedition, or specific conditions like fog/snow. It should be wired through a dedicated switch separate from the factory headlight circuit, ideally with a relay. On road use, the lights should be turned off in normal traffic — they're considerably brighter than typical headlights and would blind oncoming drivers. The 18,000 LM output is designed for off-road and rural/highway conditions where no oncoming traffic is expected.

How do the flicker / alert modes work?

In addition to steady high/low beam, the Rudra Beam supports two alert flicker modes — a slow strobe useful for being seen at distance (signaling to oncoming vehicles in fog) and a faster alternating pattern useful as a hazard signal. These are intentional features for expedition riders and off-road convoy use, controlled via the wiring harness's button.

What's the lifespan in Indian conditions?

The LED chips are rated for 30,000+ hours of operation. In real-world Indian touring/off-road use (where the lights are switched on for hours at a time rather than continuously), expected lifespan exceeds 5-8 years. The IP67 sealing, aviation-grade aluminium body, and validated thermal envelope keep the LEDs operating within design limits across the temperature extremes the product is rated for.

Is the warranty valid if I install it myself?

Yes. The 1-year warranty covers manufacturing defects regardless of installation method. We strongly recommend professional installation if (a) you're wiring through a relay to your battery — correct fusing is critical, or (b) you're mounting on a custom rack that needs vibration-isolated bracketry.

Why is the warranty 1 year when the Panther Beam car LEDs get 2 years?

Auxiliary lights face significantly harsher operating conditions than factory headlight bulbs — mounted externally, exposed to rain spray, dust, mud, vibration impacts, and temperature swings far beyond what an enclosed headlight housing protects against. The 1-year warranty reflects the reality of those conditions. The actual lifespan of the product (5-8+ years typical) is well beyond the warranty window.

What if it doesn't fit my vehicle?

Return in original packaging within 7 days of receipt for a full refund. The Rudra Beam's universal mounting brackets fit most car and bike accessory mounting points, but specific vehicle compatibility varies. Message us on WhatsApp or email support@carxneo.com with your vehicle's year/model + intended mounting location and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
